10/20, "Call (Jets) Lowery 'The Closer'

• Dwight Lowery has acquired a couple of nicknames from his teammates --

"Mariano Rivera" and "The Closer" -- thanks to his defensive plays to close out the Jets' last two victories.

• Lowery returned a Brett Favre pass for a touchdown to close out the Vikings two games ago, and on Sunday in Denver he recovered a fumbled snap by Kyle Orton to squelch a Broncos' comeback in the final seconds.

After the game, Bart Scott and other players were calling him "Mariano Rivera" and "The Closer."
